Cats vs Dogs

 This week for reading and writing I was learning how to write an argument about what I think is better, Cats or Dogs. I found it hard to choose which one I liked better because I love them both and I have cats and dogs at home. I choose to do dogs because I brainstormed in my head and thought dogs had more skills like hunting. I love hunting.

Pen pal

Today for reading I was  learning how to write a letter to a penpal. I chose Jackson because he is my good friend.

Week six reading task

Today for reading I was learning how to apply knowledge. I was reading about Orcas they aren't even whales they are the largest dolphins. They are in different cultures and teach their skills to the young. 

Orca's are known to harm people and eat Blue whales. Some orcas live around our coastlines, it's important to know where they are so we can protect their habitat, which means where they live.

Did you know each year orcas get injured by boats. Some get stuck on the beach. 

There was no whales on Scratch so I used a shark. I found it hard to make my game the thing I found really hard was sometimes I pressed buttons on accident and one time I made my fish invisible. I had to watch the youtube click over and over again step by step to get my game codes right. Here is my finished game I hope you like it.  

Maui found his father and the Magic Jawbone

This morning I created Maui's Magic Jawbone on Minecraft. I learnt that Maui's grandfather lived in the underworld,  I think underworld means under the world I think it would be a scary place to be.

I choose to created the Jawbone because it looks cool and it is very special, it was handled by the underground God it is very powerful. 

My learning object shows I can create Maui's Jawbone on Minecraft.

 

Mondays reading task

Today for reading I was learning how to apply knowledge, we had to read a short story and watch a video on spiders and then get 5 facts we learnt and put them on a slide.

Today I was learning to use evidence to answer questions.  My digital learning object shows voice recording using mote and my evidence from the story. 

I enjoyed recording my voice.

Life Cycle of a butterfly

 This week for reading I was learning to use evidence to answer questions.

My digital learning object shows I am learning the life cycle of a butterfly. Here is my animation of the butterflies life cycle, it goes from a cocoon to a caterpillar then it forms into a chrysalis then it transforms into a butterfly.

I enjoyed editing my butterfly because it was easy to find the pictures to put into my animation.

I found it tricky finding the correct pictures for the life cycle, there were heaps to choose from and I couldn't decided which ones to use.
