My Cultural Presentation

 We had to research our own culture and then share some learning about it. Here is some research I found out about Fiji. My Dad's family are from Fiji. 

 

My native plants

 

Hello this is my native plant blog post. I like planting because I like to look after the environment

by not kicking the ball in to the plants and doing the right thing, like pulling out the weeds and massaging the roots. 

 Nature plants provides you with kai and helps us with medicines. The bush is good for birds and insects. I like nature also because of the animals which God gives to us.

Goal setting

 

Today we were setting our goals. I enjoyed making our goals. I have already shared these with my whanau.

Bula My name is Torbyn I go to St Mary Catholic School Gisborne. My family is from New Zealand and Fiji. I live with my Dad, Mum and Sister. I am good at running, swimming, horse riding and hunting. I like playing with my friends in the sandpit at school, Riding a jet ski and four wheeler motor bikes. I also love looking after my puppies and axolotls. 

This year my goals are to have quality blog posts and to stay on task in class. 

This year I am looking forward to being a strong kaia in Kapa Haka, getting better at Horo hoopu. Doing my best at athletics and representing Blue house Mary McKillop. People  who inspire me are teachers at school, because they help me learn new things, My dad because he's a good hunter and I want to be a great hunter like him, but even better!

Bolt is my awesome Chromepet.

 On Tuesday Mrs Torrie showed us how to make our own Chromepet, My Chromepet's name is Bolt. We are learning to create chromepets by using google drawing, He has a lightning bolt for a tail. Leopard spots for his stomach and fire for his two front feet, and lightning bolts for his two back ones. 

Bolt has pictures from the ocean for his ears. Bolt is always happy because he has a smiling face.

I found it hard to get the parts for Bolt, It was easy to shape the parts. 

You have to tap on his stomach for it to appear.
